Human Services Investigator, Developmental Disabilities

We currently have two full-time vacancies, with one vacancy being a Limited Duration appointment to last no longer than two years.

About the position: This position serves as the designee of the State of Oregon DHS by conducting abuse and neglect investigations for adult individuals with developmental disabilities and writing comprehensive and justifiable investigative reports within a specified time frame according to statute.  Overall job function is to assess cases/reports and take appropriate action and/or issue required action in order to assure protective actions are taken.  Thorough, complex field investigations are conducted when the referral meets criteria according to the OARs.  The primary purpose of the position is to ensure health and safety of the individuals served in DDSD by reviewing all referrals, assigning appropriate action to professional division staff and contract agencies, ensuring law enforcement involvement as appropriate, and completing justifiable, comprehensive written reports which may be used in a hearing and/or in conjunction with criminal charges when an investigation is conducted.

To qualify:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social work, psychology/sociology, criminal justice or a related field; AND Three years of increasingly responsible research, field investigatory or case management experience as a journey-level social services, court, criminal justice or corrections/protective services professional; AND  Completion of the OAAPI Core Competency Training for Developmental Disabilities Abuse Investigation and passing written exam for Certification within a year of hire and other licenses required by law, practice in the field, etc. Strong writing skills required; AND  Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of appointment, an appropriate and valid driver license. Passing a criminal background check is required.

Salary range: $50,801 to 62,472.

Human Service InvestigatorCounty Human Services is pleased to announce an open competitive recruitment for a Case Manager Senior with the Aging & Disability Services Division. This recruitment will be used to fill future Case Manager Senior (Intake worker & Screener) positions throughout ADS as they become available.

A combination of Education & Experience equivalent to the following is required:Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in social science, social service, or a related field; AND three (3) years of increasingly responsible case management experience of which at least two (2) years of this experience must be at the level of a Case Manager 2 (the full journey/professional level in this series) or above.

License/Certificate: Requires a valid driver license.
In addition, candidates must  pass a criminal background check.

Salary Range: $49,276-$60,593

Business Process Coordinator, DCHS

The County Human Services is pleased to announce an open competitive recruitment for a Business Process Coordinator with the Office of Policy, Planning & Performance.

A combination of Education & Experience equivalent to the following is required: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major coursework in business or public administration, or a related field and five years of increasingly responsible professional experience using information systems and/or technologies. Professional level evaluative, analytical, and/or planning experience is required.

Desirable: Demonstrated knowledge of data systems, software applications and a variety of computer information technologies; Project management certification; Experience working in a human service or public sector environment.
