Thank you for making our inaugural event a success. There were over 80 people who attended the event, unfazed by triple-digit temperatures. The event celebrated the beginning of Oregon and Southwest Washington's first ever Asian Pacific American chamber of commerce.
We thank our guest speakers, Verne Naito and Peggy Ross, for providing encouragement and guidance to our organization. We also thank Tahitian dance group Te Marama for providing the entertainment for our event. Further, we thank United Way of the Columbia-Willamette for allowing us to use its facilities for our event.
Consistent with APACC's mission, our inaugural event was a success because of our collaboration and support for each other. It is this same collaboration and support that will help us get through the tough economic times.
